Privacy policy

What we collect

• When you ask to book: your name, a phone number or email, the property address, the reports you want, your notes, your language, and whether you agreed to texts about the booking, with the time you agreed. To stop spam we keep a scrambled code (a hash) made from your internet address, not the address itself, and your browser type.
• For the inspection: the details the official forms ask for, signatures, documents you share (permits, receipts, product approvals) and photos of the property. Our phones record the time and place of each photo; that proves when and where the inspection happened.
• Public records about the property: year built, permits, design wind speed and flood zone.
• Payments: the amount, the status and the invoice number. Card and bank details go straight to the companies that process our payments (Helcim for cards, Mercury for bank payments). We never see or store full card or bank numbers.
• Messages you send us.
• Website visits: page views counted by Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you. The site also sets one security cookie that does not identify you. Sign-in cookies are used only by our staff.

How we use it

• To schedule and do your inspection, and to fill out, check and deliver your forms.
• To send your invoice and receipt.
• To answer questions from your insurer about your form.
• To keep the records the law requires and to improve our checks.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Automated checks and AI

Our software checks every form against the form's own rules. Photos and public-record text may also be checked by an AI model: to confirm a photo shows what the form needs and to read data plates. We use only AI services that do not train on your data, and our main service is limited to providers that keep no copy.

Kenneth Wolf, the licensed contractor, reviews every report before it goes out. The AI never decides an answer on a form.

Who sees it

• You, and only the people you choose to receive your report, such as your agent, insurer, lender or realtor.
• Companies that run parts of LYSPECT for us: website and database hosting (Vercel, Supabase), email (Hostinger), AI checks (OpenRouter) and payments (Helcim, Mercury). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
• Our related businesses (Wolf Insurance, an insurance agency, and our construction and repair work) only if you ask them for a quote yourself, one by one. Using LYSPECT never requires using them.
• Anyone the law or a court requires, or your insurer when it uses its legal right to check your wind mitigation form.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Text messages

We text you only if you tick the box when you book, and only about that booking. We never send sales texts. Reply STOP to stop.

How long we keep it

We keep inspection records for 7 years after the inspection date, because a wind mitigation form can stay valid for up to 5 years and questions can come later. Then we delete them, unless the law or an open dispute requires us to keep them longer. We keep booking requests only as long as we need them for that booking and our records.

How we protect it

Every page and file travels over an encrypted connection. Only LYSPECT staff can open inspection records, and our database enforces that. Payment pages are run by the payment companies. If your personal information is ever exposed in a data breach, we will tell you as Florida law requires.

Your choices

Email hi@lyspect.com to get a copy of your information, correct it, or ask us to delete it (we keep what the law requires us to keep). We reply within 2 business days and finish most requests within 30 days.

Children

LYSPECT is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date on this page. We will not use information you already gave us in a new way without telling you first.
